Vianne's 3rd Birthday, Part One: The Day Of (April 8)

Pancakes are the birthday girl's favorite (especially with blueberries) so this is how we started her special day...

And in true Vianne style, the morning kicked off with a costume :-)
Since Daddy had to be in class for the afternoon, we did presents in the morning.  Minnie Mouse Jelly Bellies from Grandma G. were a big hit!

When I saw this ladybug-patterned-umbrella-toting-red-rain-boot-wearing-blonde-haired-blue-eyed doll at Costco, I knew she was destined to be Vianne's.
She was pretty excited that her eyes open and close!

Baby brother looking on from his go-pod
Sheriff Callie dress from the Storeys ~ a big hit!
 Super cute Sheriff!

Opening presents from Grandma G. ~ lots of fun Minnie Mouse loot...

...including this nightgown, which she insisted on wearing for "nap"time that afternoon. :-)
A little later in the morning, there was a surprise on the front door!

 Love at first sight!
"Thanks, Granma & Grampa!"
Another surprise out in the garage...

When Daddy left for work, we took lots of pictures..."I'm three!"

...and when he got home, we went out for dinner for more of Vianne's favorite, pancakes!
Another gift waiting when we got home ~ a fun gardening tool set from the Blairs!
Within seconds of opening it, Vianne was out in the backyard trying it out!

Trying to get a birthday-girl-and-brother shot proved difficult.
 A happy birthday indeed!

Thank you, thank you very much...
And a few more gifts that came in the mail...
