Oden Adventures

Somehow I went the entire first half of May without taking any pictures.  The middle of May, though, brings us to Vianne's spring dance recital.  Remember when her birth was approaching and I was trying to discourage pink?  The night of the recital it was my favorite :-D.  So. Much. Cuteness.

Vianne was delighted that Grampa got to fly up for the big event!

It was really hot backstage!!

Mia's brother had picked her some flowers from their yard 

and when Vianne noticed that she was the only one without flowers (Mama fail), 

Mia gave her some of hers.  So sweet and it made Vianne's whole night!

Ballet Calico Critters to reward such a great recital performance!

A long-talked-about-but-in-the-end-spontaneous trip to escape a very hot Sacramento day 

to Monterey Bay Aquarium (an early Father's Day outing).

Three hours driving each way and lots of sea creatures to explore, it was a full, fun day!

It was so fun to see the aquarium through the kids' eyes...so much wonder!

 

We got to celebrate our friend Reese's birthday with her at Fairy Tale Town.

On Memorial Day weekend, we had an overnight visit from the Gustafsons!

These two. So much cousin love!

And on Memorial Day, the long-awaited re-opening of the spray parks around Natomas!

Someone got ahold of Mama's camera!

A visit from Addi & a tea party to round out the month!
