Vianne passes up the board books for some theological reading by her favorite writer...
Getting so big. :::sob:::
Little sheep, fast asleep...(we encourage naps however we can get them)
When we go for walks with the stroller, this is always my favorite part: when she turns and smiles up at me behind her! :-D
It was a gorgeous weekend here in SoCal and we all enjoyed it out on the back porch. I'm not quite ready to let her loose on the cement so we employed the pack n' play to contain her.
On Saturday, we celebrated Mom/Granma Oden's birthday! Vianne loves her Granma sooooo much & literally squeals with delight whenever she sees her. She loves Saturdays because that's almost always the day we see Granma!
Reading with Daddy
"See this new book I got from Granma? It's shaped like a little lamb!"
For her eleven months, a photo shoot in two parts. First, over at the San Dimas High School track, where she enjoyed the freedom to explore, which was adorable to watch but difficult to photograph :-).
And part two, back at our house...utilizing the rocking chair to try to keep our wiggly girl still :-).``
Oh goodness. 47 weeks?! That is only 5 away from 52. How can this be? I mean, the Winnie the Pooh birthday party that I've been planning in my head for 5 months does need to happen sometime...but that means my little girl is going to have a birthday party...which means she's having a BIRTHDAY...and I'm just not sure I'm ready for that.
Highlights from this past week include playing with Joel & Jesse, her first walking videos, and a Family Fun Day at Newport Beach.
This was a funny shot I snapped of her standing, just seconds before the inevitable pulling off all the books from J & J's shelves (her weekly entertainment).
Vianne & Jesse
Vianne, praying for Jesse's healing (of what, we're not sure)
They may be plotting to take over the world...
Vianne gets a kiss from Jesse
Sweet Jesse
Vianne likes to "help" the boys play with their toys
Sunggles from Joel
Sweet Joel
The Dashing Duo
"Mama, I am being gentle with him!!"
So after V & I got home that night, she finally (okay, after two whole days) obliged us and did some walking for the camera...
For our Family Fun Day this week, we took advantage of a beautiful Thursday and headed to a warm, sunny, and nearly empty Newport Beach! We had so much fun - a perfect day and much needed change of scenery - and I fear we may have set the bar way too high for Family Fun Days, only a few weeks into doing them. This was Vianne's first time at a California beach and the first time playing in the sand and the ocean, and she had the time of her life! A California girl for sure! I took a zillion pictures...
Sweet Sandal Feet
The following is one of my favorite pictures of Patrick & Vianne ever taken!! I may have to get this made into poster size. Too sweet!!!
Very cute videos of Vianne's great love of the surf & the sand...
The Shade Shack: a must-have for beach visits with a baby!
(See what I mean by nearly empty beach?)
After some ridiculous people came and sat right next to us though they had miles of beach to choose from we'd had enough beach perfection, we went for a walk along the pier.
