April 2017

April is always busy with Vianne's birthday and Easter, but we squeezed in some other fun as well! We always cherish the mild temps of spring in Sacramento and try to be outside as much as possible.
The first Sunday in April was our church's Rabbit Run and we helped out for the first time this year, in the Kids' Zone while the race was going on. Our kids were thrilled! Bounce houses and face painting and treats, oh my!
We had fun having friends from church over a few times, Addi & Elli and Reese & Taylor.
Fortunately, Addi loves tea parties as much as Vianne & Oliver.
When Granma & Grampa came up for V's birthday, they also brought the Christmas presents
(since our Christmas plans had fallen through). So many fun new things!
Oh, the things Patrick gets from Amazon...cornhole, anyone?
We had a fun family outing to the Effie Yeaw Nature Center, great place for kids to explore!
Vianne had packed her backpack full of snacks. I think there was even a Ziploc of olives in there. Came in handy when we all got hungry about noon and Mama hadn't even thought to bring anything!! This girl's a planner.
Of course, we had to get in a visit to my favorite spot in Natomas...the rose garden!
Vianne practiced for her upcoming gig as a first time flower girl while I took pictures.
"Did you hurt your eye, buddy?"
"No, I'm just tosing my eye buhtuzz I am a pirate."
