Oden Adventures

I have cherished all three of my Mother's-Days-As-A-Mother, but this one, with one kid on the outside and one on the inside :-D, felt extra special!  We had a very sweet day on Sunday, going to church and then gifts at home from Patrick & Vianne, a fun trip to Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens to see the newly-opened Butterfly Pavilion, and then a yummy lunch at Legends Diner.

We also celebrated on Saturday with Patrick's family, with a meal at Bardot in Claremont, ice cream down the street, and gifts back at our place.

After church, we were trying to get a baby belly shot, but Vianne was simultaneously running by with a garbage can over her head, enjoying the acoustics as she sang into it (lower right)...which made it difficult to stand still for the photo. :-)

 Fun gifts & cards!  A Sif action figure, CF Martin shirt, and a Paper Source address stamp.

 Then, off to the garden!  This was the first time we'd been in Spring so it was fun to see everything grown up, especially the wildflowers...

 

...and some new art installations like these enormous bugs!

 The Butterfly Pavilion had opened the day before and runs through early August when they release them.

 Vianne was getting a lesson on the camera from Daddy...
